Here's something... My father is a power engineer with a steam ticket. Not a scientist or a doctor. He's an engineer. Try telling an engineer there is no answer to a problem. They're not going to buy it.
After the heartbreaking day in Calgary (when the specialist tried to teach my father that nothing can be done to fix bipolar), he began to work and pray. The answer to this problem would not come easy. In the meantime, he had a family to provide for, and a very aggressive son to deal with.
I still remember some of the experiments. I can tell you that drinking rust water and putting magnets on your head will not cure bipolar! However, it will get you one step closer to the answer. You see, you must try everything and you have to pray (a lot). Thats what he did. What he did not do, was give up on me....
